Lakeview Church began in March of 1990 under the name of MetroChurch. God spoke to Dr. David Chapman and his wife Lynnette and led them to raise up a church in Stillwater.
In December of 1991, MetroChurch merged with another church, which
brought about its first permanent location. In January of 2000, 5 ½
additional acres were purchased on the East side of the property which
has become known as the Lake House. The church currently resides on 9
acres.
In August of 2001, the name of the church was changed to Lakeview Church in order to reflect the location of the church.
From the very beginning, the call of God has been to raise up a quality
ministry which is carried out with excellence and in total submission
to the leading of the Holy Spirit. The prayer for our future is that
God will raise up people who have a desire to fulfill the Great
Commission and who help continue the destiny of Lakeview Church. |
